Petrol rose to N1,288.54 per litre in March, says NBS

Nigeria’s average retail price for a litre of petrol rose sharply to N1,288.54 in March, up from N1,051.47 the month before, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The hike will raise commuting costs and likely push up transport‑related expenses and overall inflation for Nigerians.

The National Bureau of Statistics has said that the average retail price of a litre of petrol witnessed an increase from N1,051.47 in February to N1,288.54 in March.
